Cancellation & Refund Policy
We understand that plans change. This policy explains exactly how refunds work when you cancel a session with Shots by Kal Photography.
More than 24 hours before your shoot: You receive a full refund of the amount you were charged. No fees, no penalties.
Within 24 hours of your shoot: You receive 50% of your payment back. The remaining 50% covers the reserved time slot that can no longer be booked by another client.
The countdown is based on your scheduled shoot time, not the moment you booked. You'll always see your exact refund amount before confirming any cancellation.
You booked the Premium package for $155 and your card was charged.
- Cancel 3 days early: you get the full $155.00 back.
- Cancel 10 hours before: you get $77.50 (50%) back.
You booked and your card was authorized (held) but not yet charged while the owner reviews your request.
- You cancel: the hold is released — you were never charged, so nothing is taken.
- The owner declines: the hold is released automatically with no charge.
How to cancel
Use the "Cancel this session" button in your booking confirmation or acceptance email. That opens a private cancellation page showing your exact refund amount and a confirmation step before anything is processed.
Refunds typically appear on your card within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank. Released authorizations usually disappear from a pending statement within a few days.
